RUSTIC CHRISTMAS

Even though I enjoy pretty dishes; I'm just not the glitzy, sparkly, glamour type.  I have scads of silver wedding dishes (1958 variety) which have been stored under the guest bed for 40 years; plus a lot of crystal which very occasionally sees the light of day.
But give me a homemade hutch and a cupboard salvaged
from a farm out-building ----
combine it with 19th century brown transferware ---
and a candle holder made from a farm machinery part ---
then add natural Christmas decorations ---

And, I'm happy!!!

Love all your gorgeous brown transfer ware. I'd love to have some of those. We used to go to antique store in small town outside Bowling Green, KY that had lots of it. At that time i wasn't yet interested in transfer ware dishes, kick me now. Love the look. Can't decide what color I like best tho.
I'll admire your collection, you have some gorgeous pieces of the plates. Love your hutch and how you decorated it for holidays. Enjoy the season. Happy week

Hi Sally! I'm happy too when I come over and see what you're up to. I love have you've decorated your cabinet, the candlestick and the bowl with pine cones! Perfect.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia:)

There's nothing more beautiful! I always have to have a bit of rustic somewhere for Christmas, and brown transferware is such a natural choice. Love it!
