Thanks to Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for once again hosting Tablescape Tuesday.
The octagon dinner plates are Austrian "Royal Innsbruk" and belonged to my Great Grandmother. The salad plates, cups and saucers, and the coffee pot are English Royal Albert "American Beauty".
The stainless steel is Oneida "Damask Rose" and is new, but I also have sterling silver in the same pattern from the 1950s.
The fruit bowls are German lustre.
The rose cake plate is Prussian, and the crystal is pink depression-era and belonged to my Grandmother.
Fall is definitely in the air here in Colorado. Hope you enjoyed this last taste of summer.
Thanks for stopping by,
Sally
What a beautiful table you set. What time is lunch?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! absolutely gorgeous. I LOVE those octoganal dishes!
ReplyDeleteOh what a lucky lady you are to have inherited those dishes and stemware. Your tablescape is stunning! ;-) Bo
ReplyDeleteoooo, Sally, I love roses on my dishes so much. I, myself, use mine, even in the coldest of wintertime!!
ReplyDeleteHow blessed you are to have such lovely pieces from your grandmother. Everything is just beautiful.
love, bj
What a treasure you have charge of. I have no idea if my Great Grandmother had any fine china. I don't remember if my Grandmother had any either. You have something to pass on to your family that has a legacy attached. It is a blessing that you shared and I thank you.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! This is just so lovely! FABULOUS!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful theme for a table setting. Your setting is beautiful and inviting. I like it and that prussian cake plate is a treasure...
ReplyDeleteIt's nice that you have so many dishes handed down from your family...
Hi Sally :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tablescape!
I had so much fun reading the posts I've missed :)
I loved the laundry lesson, learning more about you (fun first date!) and about your trip to Paris. Great pic of the inside ;)
hugs,
rue
Oh and I forgot to say that those "berries" are actually Crab Apples :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely combination of the different china patterns...your tablescape is very appealing.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely still a newbie to quilting but I've been sewing for years. We have a wonderful store in town that has alot of quilt classes. Were your books on technique or did you design patterns? I'd love to learn to make a lone star quilt or dahlia. I'm waiting on samples to come in to the sewing store and then decide if it's too hard for me to learn right now or not. I love the traditional quilts the most but am making a more modern one for my son's girlfriend (I'm sure she'll be my daughter-in-law one day!). Thanks for stopping by. I'd love it if you did the tag too if you want. I'd like to get to know you better!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I am a nut for plates with roses on them. Those plates on your table look so inviting. Great job on putting together a lovely table.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Debbie
My goodness, I was half expecting to see Queen Elizabeth in one of the photos! It really is a beautiful table and got me in the mood for tea sandwiches and of course, some earl grey tea! Your roses are so pretty. You did a beautiful job!!!
