It has just been a week since the Christmas toys were opened, and look what our 6-year old grandson is playing with? A wooden box, marbles, and an old tractor and trailer that was mine as a child!!!
It was a pumpkin patch to be harvested!
He played and played forever, and never even realized I was taking pictures.
A bulldozer removing snow! Can you hear his sound effects?
May his childhood imagination never end!! Thanks for stopping by, Sally!
Oh how precious is that...I loved marbles as a child...I tell you .I think they made better toys back in those days...these new plastic fly by night toys can't compare to the ones we had as kids...these days kids have so much animation to entertain them they don't get to use their imagination...great post girl...hope you are having a great weekend!
Hi Sally I think thats how it goes. There are so many new toys out there that children just "have" to have but really isn't it something to have your grandson playing so nicely using his imagination playing with simple toys. I love that. He looks so sweet and its so nice that you were able to take those special pics of him. come by and visit when you have some time. Judi
How cute is that...I love that you still have all your marbles ha ha !! I could't pass that one up girl!! thanks for coming by and hope you have a safe and blessed week...hugs and smiles Gloria
Hi Sally....your grandson is adorable and they do have a great imagination...to see the imagination of a 33 year old I posted pictures and a give-away on my blog of Sophie's 2009 calendar...Please visit and enjoy the pictures and tell your friends to stop by...Sue
Isn't it amazing how the imagination can entertain for hours? When I did daycare I took the kids outside one day to lay on a blanket and look at the clouds. I was so surprised that none of them except my kids knew how to use their imagination to see pictures in the clouds. I agree, the simple things are the best and that's why I made my granddaughter a Raggedy Ann for Christmas!!
Isn't that the truth! All the new fangled toys to choose from and he chooses the classics *winks* Smart boy! I grew up with legos and I love em to his day! Could still spend hours playing with em! Lol! Vanna
This is just so delightful...how I loved marbles,, playing and collecting. Look at the happy contentment on his sweet face. That is joy...no Wii or Nintendo in sight and yet he is having such fun!
Oh, this is so sweet, Sally! I used to love marbles too! He's a cutie! To answer your question, I don't have a clue for the future is for my blog. I just do one day at a time. I suppose I should have a goal - naw!! Be a sweetie, Shelia ;)
GM Sally thanks for coming by girl..it does mean the world to me to see your name come up..Hope all is well in your world today..hugs and smiles Gloria
