CLOCHE PARTY

Marty at A Stroll Thru Life is hosting a fun event today. It is a cloche party, where everyone can show off their cloches. Be sure to stop by her blog to check out all of the participants.

I've been looking for a cloche to buy for a year now, as I love how clever everyone is in their displays. My problem is that I'm very frugal when it comes to buying something I really don't need (except maybe transferware)! Consequently
, I have yet to find a spectacular one for very little money.

Since I wanted to participate today in this grand event, the best I could do is this little glass thingy found at Goodwill for $1. It is only 8" tall by 3" wide, and there is very little that fits in it.

For now, I have tied a ribbon around four generations of baby spoons.
I am so excited to see every one's ideas today at the party, as I sure suffer from extreme cloche envy!!

That is so clever Sally!! Ok come up with something for those tall ones of mine!! BBQ utensils- no just don't think that would have the same effect as your pretty spoons!!

I am hoping we will find out when exactly we are closing as the lady would like to close earlier if possible. Will get together with you after I find out so we can make a date!! WIsh I could have been shopping with you when you took your car in!

Oh I love it. The baby spoons is so precious. What a fabulous idea. I think you could also put some really skinny flowres and maybe a really tiny birdnest. I have seen those at the store. Some pretty shells would also look good. I don't know, but it looks like a cloche to me. Thanks so much for participating. I love it. Hugs, Marty

There's no one home to hear me, but when I saw those baby spoons in there, I said, "Ahhh! How sweet!" And they are. Thanks so much for sharing this!

The shape of your cloche is unique. I don't think I've seen one quite like that. I'm glad that you are cherishing the baby spoons by putting them in such a place of honor.

Oh, Dear Sally! This is absolutely precious! I love that tall skinny cloche! And you do know how to dress it! Now you could put it in your beautiful kitchen with some spaghetti noodles under it wrapped in rafia! Hootness! ;)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)

Just because it is tall doesn't mean you have to fill it to the top- but I do like the idea of spaghetti all tied up w/a ribbon and placed in the kitchen! Keep looking for a more traditional size in the obscure places- you will find one w/your name on it! Your spoons look sweet inside of it. Sue
