PITIFUL PUMPKIN PARADE

Most years we have an acceptable pumpkin crop from our garden. But this year it has been pretty pathetic. We don't know if it was too much rain at the wrong time, or too little water at the right time. Plus, the bees were confused, and we had a cross-pollination issue with our large pumpkins and our small gourds. Not a pretty sight.

What you see below is our entire pumpkin yield - 7 miniature pumpkins.

At least there were more than three so that I can participate in Three or More Tuesday hosted by Tam at The Gypsy's Corner.

Please check out Tam's blog for a list of the participants in today's event.

Hope you are enjoying Harvest Time!!

Oh, Sally! Sorry about your pumpkin patch, but these little pumpkins are just darling. You should dry these because they're precious!

Sally there may be only 7 pumpkins but they are sweet pumpkins and they came from your garden!!

I was at Walmart and their average size pumpkins were $4.50 each!!! I wanted to get about six for my front entry but not at that price!! I am used to garden pumpkins or cheap cheap pumpkins so needless to say, left with no pumpkins.

Your pumpkins on the table look so pretty.

Some people pay a lot for the mini pumpkins. You got more pumpkins ripened than I got heirloom tomatoes this year. Not a good one.

Hello Dearheart...

Ohhh...your pumpkins are beautiful, Sally! I was wondering what it is that you have them displayed in? What a fabulous table centerpiece...it looks like a table runner...a runner of pumpkins!!! You know, I bet our strange summer weather had something to do with the growth of your pumpkins...it was really different weather this year, don't you think? We never did really have any hot temps and then we had so much rain, of course we're a ways from you...clear up in the northeast corner! Anyway, I do love your 7 little pumpkins and I think you've displayed them beautifully!!!

Love ya,
Chari

Maybe small, maybe just a few, but they are so pretty displayed like this.
