EYE CLUTTER?

Not much going on here -- just gearing up for the holidays. I sat down yesterday and made a couple of pillows. I had bought a half-yard piece of red wool (on sale plus a 40% off coupon) for $6; and I had some very nice old black velvet ribbon from an estate sale. I added some Ralph Lauren inspiration, and after a couple of hours on the sewing machine; I had these two pillows.

It seems that my house has a tendency to clutter up very fast with all of the Christmas decorations added. I thought maybe if I put away all of the print pillows and added these simple ones; it would help.
So, after next week's festivities with Thanksgiving, we'll get the Christmas stuff out and begin the decorating. It will be fun to see all of the old favorites again from the past 52 Christmases at the Salmagundi household.
May you all have a joyous Thanksgiving week.

Sally,

Thanks for your kind comments. I am glad we will not be the only family with the TV on. We will have our turkey plates though, wouldn't be Thanksgiving without them.

Happy Holidays

Hi Sally...

Well my friend, I just wanted to come by to say Happy Thanksgiving! Will you be having Thanksgiving at your place? I think it will just be Darrin, Danielle, and us...just a small family gathering.

Sally, your pillows turned out sooo pretty! My friend, you make the prettiest pillows! The red wool with the black velvet trim is simply gorgeous...very rich and regal!!! They'll look lovely on your sofa or chair for the holiday season!!!

Warmest Thanksgiving wishes and blessings to you and your sweet family, my friend! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Hello, sweet Sally,
I am totally IN LUV with your new pillows..they are great. They look like very expensive, bought at the store, pillows. You are so good at sewing.
I don't start decorating until after Thanksgiving, either.
hugs, bj

Nice job on the pillows. I agree with you. I want to put out all my Christmas decorations but it would looked cluttered and you wouldn't notice any of them. So now I am more selective with the decorations and I think they look better.

Hello Sally
Hope your Thanksgiving was a good one! I am doing some catching up between decorating and taking naps. It seems the older I get the more naps I require, during Christmastime!LOL

Love those pillows! They are beautiful!
