CABIN COZY

The Christmas glitz is packed away, and the cold weather has settled in here in Colorado. I was ready for some 'cozy cabin' feel to my house. I figured a quick quilting project was the answer.

In a few hours I made a new patchwork table runner for the dining room. It consists of seven identical blocks with a paisley border and is machine quilted.

To top it off, I have a good, old-fashioned cold; my sinuses feel like they may explode. So I think I'll go get cozy in my chair and read a decorating book I borrowed from a friend this morning.

I will be linking up with the following linky parties. Be sure to check them out for lots of winter inspiration.

Hi, Sally...
I love your new runner. Really pretty.
Sorry you aren't feeling well.
Would you do me a favor and see if there's places to vote on the poll on my sidebar. On MY screen, there isn't. I've had nothing but trouble with it since I put it on.
Just email me back, if you will.

Thanks, friend.

Beautiful quilting. Feel better. Everything looks bare without all the Christmas glitz. Good to warm up the house in a new way. Blessings.

Hi Sally...

Ohhh nooo...so sorry to hear that you caught cold, sweet friend! I guess this is a good time of the year for that. Sending prayers your way!

Well my dear, I think that you definitely achieved that "cabin cozy" ambiance with your beautifully handcrafted quilted tablerunner! Such pretty fabrics! Very nice and you made it so quickly. I am not a seamstress so that would take me days and make me sweat. Thanks for joining the party.

I'm so jealous--time to sew something, finish it, and show it off. Retirement is starting to sound like something I'd enjoy. This is the second time I've had that thought in the last three weeks. What does that mean? ♥♫

You're so good with sewing projects; I envy you.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been wrestling with sinuses. They can become quite painful. I'm recovering from a cold. Ah well, it's winter.

Stay warm!

Hi Sally,
What a cute runner...hope you are feeling better, soon/
I think it is amazing that you had the foresight to keep all of those day planners and write in them...what a great way to remember!
THANKS for the sweet comments on my girl's wedding...it was so fun!

Sally I do hope you are over the sinus stuff! That is certainly not fun to have.

I am loving your table runner. You are just amazing with all your sewing ability!

I get to see Marty and Ceekay next weekend and I think we are going to a huge fabric store that has fantabulous prices! I am excited and have a million projects that I would like to buy fabric for. It will be fun to see what I come home with.

I got a tooth pulled yesterday- ouch- not sure which hurt worse the tooth or the bill!

I enjoyed you previous post too about your day planners. Wow you even keep them all and know where they are! I have lost my new planner already! My sister gave it to me and it had darling little bees all over it!! I am hoping it is at the Aguilar building- I looked once but will scour the whole place Sunday when we go.

Bee blessed
