FARM SALVAGE MEETS AUTUMN ON OUR PORCH

I usually hang something seasonal by the front door on our porch -- this year for Fall I went with something rustic.
On our last visit to the farm salvage yard (my favorite shopping mecca), I picked up some grain elevator scoops.  I had no idea what I was going to use them for -- just loved their shape and patina.
Bob mounted two of them on a couple of old boards, and I filled them with a touch of autumn.

I've written before about my love affair with farm salvage yards!  You can check those posts out here and here.

Here's a picture of my favorite farm salvage yard -- if you see one along the way, don't pass it up -- treasures await!

How perfect and creative is this. I love the fall leaves, just the perfect amount of fall for a great welcome. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me.

Oh that Bob is so clever.....we used to love salvage yards....we used to go all the time up in Connecticut.....have never found one down here in Georgia....Happy Fall!!
Now back to see all the houses you lived in over the years...I read the whole post and enjoyed most the big city house....I never would have moved from that place...But in typical Sue fashion I believe I forgot to post a comment.....brain cloud...maybe I did???

Love the way you repurposed the grain elevator pieces. The salvage yard looks like rusty heaven to me.

Sally, I have never heard of a farm salvage yard, but would be in 7th heaven if I ever came across one! I love things like this also. The scoops are fabulous and I love what your hubby did with them. You filled them perfectly for Fall! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
