SUNDAY FAVORITES

Chari at Happy to Design is hosting Sunday Favorites, a party where everyone can share a post from their archives. Check out her blog for a list of the participants and join in the festivities.

I'm showing a post from August 19, 2008 that features one of my all-time favorite EASY desserts - Triple Chocolate Fudge Cake.
The title of my personal recipe book is "If It Isn't Easy, Sally Doesn't Cook It!" That pretty well sums it up. I was doing semi-homemade before Sandra Lee was born, but I wasn't smart or charming enough to capitalize on it. Here is one of those easy recipes from my files.
TRIPLE CHOCOLATE FUDGE CAKE

1 small package regular chocolate pudding mix
2 cups milk
1 box chocolate dry cake mix
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Cook pudding as directed on box in the microwave using the milk. Blend dry cake mix into hot pudding; mixture will be thick. Pour into 9 x 13 pan that has been sprayed. Sprinkle with chips and nuts. Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool before cutting into 2" squares.

It doesn't get any easier than that!!

Thanks for stopping by,
Sally

I admit, I love Duncan Hines made just as the box suggests. Adding anything else would bring it over the top!

Hello my friend...

Just wanted to let you know that I was able to do a "quick" Sunday Favorites post for today...I was unprepared and do apologize! We just got in from Texas last night and I'm pretty "road weary" after two days of traveling in the vehicle! We had a marvelous time visiting with my family but it's good to be home! The temps were over 100 every day...ugh! It felt so good to be back in Colorado!

Well my friend, we have lots of catching up to do...just wanted to thank you for joining in with Sunday Favorites! Your recipe for Triple Fudge cake looks scrumptious...I'll have to try it! I'm with you on the "quick and easy" recipes! Hehe!!!

Love ya,
Chari

I'm a sucker for anything chocolate. I'll have to try this recipe. If we just had a dollar for every idea someone else capitolized on we'd be millionaires!

Hi Sally...

I'm so glad that you left me a note about Mary...I haven't had the time to get around to any blogs yet so I didn't know! My heart just sunk when I read Maureen's note on her blog...I will definitely be praying!!! I'm so glad that you were able to go to the hospital to see her! It just breaks my heart to think of her in pain...what a terrible thing to happen! If you make another trip to see her, will you please give her my love and let her know that she is in my prayers?

Thank you so much for letting me know!

Love ya,
Chari

Sally, I'm willing to bet that a chocolate lover like me could eat that whole cake all by herself! But I'm going to fix it anyway! I was laughing at your commentary about Sandra Lee and your cooking. You are so fun! laurie
