Below is my small collection of Victorian milk glass Easter eggs. Two of them were my great grandmother's; the other two were just accumulated.
These eggs are hand blown, and have a pontil mark. They are flat on one side so that they will sit and not roll away. I understand that they are usually cold-painted, so the paint has a tendency to flake off. Therefore, they are difficult to find in perfect condition, as you can tell from my eggs.

I'm especially enjoying them this year displayed in the huge brown transferware wash bowl that I recently acquired from my great grandparent's homestead.

These are amazing, I don't think I have seen Easter eggs like these, and wow, that bowl is just lovely....I am seeing more and more of the brown transfer ware, and am going to start watching for it when I am out and about!! Have a great VTT!

What a gorgeous set of eggs you have ... I remember them at G'mas as a child, she had some beautifully decorated ones.

Sally, those are so pretty. I've seen them in antique stores occasionally, but they are always pricey. I think I'm loving that bowl they are in. It seems like I've missed a lot of posts lately. Maybe you've posted about it. I'll go back and check. laurie

I have only done a little decorating for Easter but I need to get some photos up. It has been such a busy 2 weeks! My head is spinning!e. It is so cold here today! Snowed last night! Grace got a cute new dress and she is sp afraid it will be too cold to wear it on Easter! *laugh*
