GIVING THANKS

Yesterday was our Thanksgiving dinner at church. The Women's Committee fix the turkeys, dressing, potatoes, and gravy. Everyone else brings a side dish and a dessert to share. You can only imagine the wonderful food that was served! Various women also bring their dishes and centerpieces to each host a table of eight. I was busy and only managed to take these two pictures of my table. I regret I didn't get around to take pictures of the other tables.

Nothing too fancy on my part - I used my Johnson Brother's Friendly Village dishes and a centerpiece of blue Ball jars filled with beans, etc. to be used later in a Harvest Soup with leftover turkey next week. I loved the look with the candles lit making that wonderful blue of the jars sparkle.
May all of you have a wonderful week with your family and/or friends giving praise of Thanksgiving!!
I'll be joining Marty at A Stroll Thru Life for Table Top Tuesday. Please stop by her wonderful blog for a bunch of inspiration.

May you and your family have a blessed Thanksgiving. I'm going to Denver on Thursday to Sarah's. I like turkey so I bought a small one at the store in Wiggins to make later. Football seems to be on everyone's mind around here. Go TIGERS! That's about my extent of school spirit.♥♫

I am having a dilemma of what I am going to put as a centerpiece for our advent tea at church too. Your centerpiece is unique and pretty.

Happy Thanksgiving my dear Sally.....Hope your day was wonderful and how lucky you are to share it with Bob and your family......Mine was going good...the nice new neighbors invited us to spend the day with their family, and then daughter called and told me she took Miss B to the Macy's parade and passed out in the crowd.....some one called 911 but the paramedics never came.....strangers took care of her until she recovered and then she took a cab back home....Oye...I need this.....mothers do not need to hear things like this on a holiday!!! she's fine now....and luckily Sophie didn't get lost in the crowd...Oh but I do have a few more gray hairs....

Hi Sally! I hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I'm so sorry I don't get over here to visit much but somehow your blog doesn't come up on my blog feed when you post something new. I don't know what's happened. Hope you're doing well.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Sally, Your simple aqua tablescape is lovely. I need to use my jars more often. But right now they're full of candy! I don't eat it- it's old and colorful Christmas candy from last year. LOL Guess it should get tossed, huh? Yes, Sue is very generous. How nice to hear that you were a recipients, as well. :-) Sue
