A START ON CHRISTMAS

I'm finally getting a slow start on the Christmas decorating.  I couldn't decide which direction to go; so by default, I'm continuing last year's theme:  Tradition, Plaid, Nature, and some Vintage Farmstyle thrown in!
I doubt my amaryllis blooms will last until Christmas, but they are so pretty with the pine cones and feathers.

The red bucket is one of several wooden buckets I've accumulated over the years.  It usually holds my clothespins for transport to the clothesline.  The candle holder is a disc spacer from the farm equipment salvage yard.

I'm joining the following parties - please, check them out for a lot of inspiration for your Christmas decorating.

You are way ahead of me! Several years ago my word of the year was "SIMPLIFY", so that is what I've done. Next year I'll have more time to decorate as I won't be in school. I've decided to try retirement!!♥♫

At least you have started decorating :) I am thinking I will pull my Christmas decorations out this weekend. Your bloom is so lovely and I really like the pinecones - it's the perfect touch. Have a wonderful day!

Hi Sally....love the combo of the pine cones and the feathers....did you see that I lost my only real antique...the beloved Moose....boy did he take a header from half way up the wall...he will no longer be left in our will for the girls...I'm sure daughter is devastated :)

Sally, your red bucket is just amazing! I only have fake amaryllis- I tend to kill the real stuff! I'm late getting started on my own decorating. I'm uninspired- that or just lazy.....LOL :-) Sue

Sally, your Amaryllis is gorgeous. I saved mine from last year just to see what would happen. Alot of green going on, but so far no blooms. Love the red bucket. Great for clothespins too!
