HALLOWEEN AND BIRTHDAY FUN

The October issue of Better Homes and Gardens magazine had some cute ideas for decorating Halloween cupcakes. Our October birthday girl loves Halloween, so I had the grand kids come over to try their hand at decorating cupcakes before her family birthday dinner at our house.

Ours were not necessarily magazine worthy, but we sure had fun!!!

Call the KITCHEN POLICE! Someone is licking their fingers.

Oh no, the KITCHEN POLICE are coming again. We can't find a ponytail holder anywhere to control that hair!!

Grammy is still looking for a ponytail holder, while Caitlin is making a bat from a chocolate cookie.

Thanks goodness, Grammy at least found a barrette. Caitlin is writing on tombstones!!

Ghosts and skeletons.

Witches and gremlins with a couple of candles thrown in for the birthday girl!

Thanks for joining in our fun,

Grammy, Caitlin and Wyatt

Oh these turned out so cute...I can't do that! lol lol I think it is wonderful to let kids learn and express their talents like that...our little 3 yr old granddaughter Sofie loves to help me cook...it doesn't matter if I am just scrambling eggs...she pulls a chair up to the stove and gets as close to me as she can and wants to have her turn at stirring! lol You can have some of the greatest moments in life if you only take time with those precious kids! great post girl...take care and have a beautiful weekend!

Hey girl...thanks for coming by..I am so glad you made the cake and it turned out good for you...I bet it was good with that chocolate cake inside...lordy if I tried that I believe the boys would just be heartbroke...seriously...one Thanksgiving I didn't make the peanut butter cake...I mean I had so many other cakes and pies I thought gosh just this once no peanut butter cake...the kids arrive and the two oldest boys just shook their heads and said 'Mom...you can't go changing things like that'..but the youngest one..oh my word...it truly bothered him...he teared up and said 'Mom..I am scarred for life now...you know Thanksgiving means peanut butter cake...how could you do this to me!!!" lol lol Lordy I wonder who spoilt those boys! lol
