I don't do a lot of Fall, Halloween, or Thanksgiving decorating, but thought I would show you the few things I put out for Thanksgiving this week.
My pilgrims were from Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago; and, of course, the famous pumpkins from The Dollar Tree. The cloche was a present from my friend, Marsha, for my birthday last week - love it!!!

I'm glad that this week is clear on my calendar, which gives me a chance to psych myself up for Thanksgiving week. The grandkids are out of school all next week, and I know they will want to come over to our house often. Our son, Mike, will be home for a few days; and then there is all of the cooking to be done. What about you? Do you thrive on all of the people around and the commotion on holidays? Or, are you like me and really cherish time alone? I imagine most people enjoy a combination of the two.
I just know that I am thankful everyday for the life I'm privileged to live.
I am linking up my three Thanksgiving vignettes to Tam at The Gypsy's Corner
for Three or More Tuesday. Be sure to go by her blog to check out the other participants.

These are beautiful statues and wonderful china you have ! I love having time on my own, I never feel lonely, but of course that would be different if I was alone always.
Good day my dear Sally, girl this just looks great what you did...Now I also don't put out stuff for Thanksgiving...way to close for Christmas for this old gal ha ha!! And Hey it takes all I have any more just to do Christmas...Now Len goes to his family for Thanksgiving every year, so me and my Grand daughter just do all the cooking at her house...and I have now even passed the Christmas torch on...Its just to hard on me now to try and do it all...sighs...Many Blessings my dear friend...Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
Your pilgrim figurines are just gorgeous, and I love the turkey and your beautiful brown transferware. Gorgeous. Hugs, Marty
Sally, it all looks so pretty. I have always wanted some of those Johnson Bros. plates. What a great idea to have the dessert plates. (They don't take up as much room as dinner plates). I'm going to be looking for some of those. I love having family around, but I'm usually pretty glad when they all leave!! We have about 30 people for holiday dinners. laurie
HI Dear Sally! Oh, I just love coming over to your house! Now I'm really loving your gifted turkey! He's a fat little guy and your pilgrims are very nice too. I have some of that dinnerware and it's wonderful, isn't it?
Be a sweetie,
shelia ;)
Love the turkey and the dessert plates. They are charming.
I don't cook for Thanksgiving but I usually have a pre-Thanksgiving Harvest dinner with friends.
I spend 1/2 the day at my mother's nursing home and the other half at a friend's house. I do enjoy quiet time by myself and I too spend time being thankful for all the good things in my life.
Sally You always do such a lovely job decorating! I am afraid I missed your birthday! HAppy belated birthday friend!! I hope you had a wonderful day celebrating!
Our29th anniversary was Sunday- we really didn't do anything special as we are going to Arizona for Thanksgiving. I am still amazed that it has been 29 years- gosh they flew by!

Happy Birthday, last week, Sally.
I love your Thanksgiving china. I'd want to pull it out as quickly as it turned autumn.
I do love my family, but I also love my quieter time. I guess, like you, I like both.
Hi Dear Sally....I hope you had a lovely birthday and recieved my card I sent....as for Thanksgiving be grateful you have family to spend it with you and people to cook for...We haven't had a real Thanksgving since daughter left for college and that was in 1994!!....it's just me and the Boss....I don't even think I'm going to cook this year...too much work to eat in ten minutes in front of the t.v. then I'm stuck to do all the cleaning....
Hi Sally,
Thanksgiving is not something that we celebrate over here but I do enjoy seeing the ways everyone decorates for the holidays. Your china is lovely & the turkey made me smile.

Ok now I have serious china envy -- you have "His Majesty" plates! I love them!

Oh goodness, I want those gorgeous turkey plates! So pretty! I like time alone to work on the house and some of the cooking before the family flocks in!
No, I'm not one to thrive on chaos! I like my alone time!
