PLAYING WITH DOLLS

All my life, one of my favorite things to do has been sewing doll clothes. I haven't made any for years since my granddaughter outgrew the doll stage. So, I decided that for my charity donation project this year I would dress an 18" doll.

With my granddaughter as my trendy fashion consultant, I have made 36 items to be donated with the doll for a silent auction as a fundraiser for charity.
What fun I have had dreaming up outfits, searching for fabrics, and sewing.  And shopping for the doll shoes was also fun!
I tried to make pieces that would mix and match to make a variety of outfits.
Pictured are some of the clothes and accessories I made.

Hopefully, some little girl will love playing with the doll and clothes; as much as I have enjoyed sewing them.

Now, back to the real world!!!

Oh, my goodness, Sally! I saw your post on FB but you have really been busy! I love all of the cute little outfits and those jeans! Adorable! Whoever receives these outfits will be a very blessed and happy little girl! What can you not do?
Be a sweetie,

Amazing. My grandma made me wonderful doll clothes. She encouraged my love of dolls. I can't say I made as many or as cute clothes as you did but I did sew them for my daughter. I don't have the patience for my grands. Maybe if I start now I could have some outfits by Christmas! Congrats to you and your fashion consultant.

Love them! I've made lots of doll clothes for my daughters, I never thought of making them for a silent auction.

Very talented, great work
I do not have children, never bought a doll, however, I have been gifted dolls, but never thought of making their clothes. Since I started making mini quilts by hand, I also make mini dolls.
