2008 IN REVIEW - FAVORITE PHOTOS; FAVORITE EXPERIENCES

Here are my favorite photos and favorite experiences from my 2008 blog.



FAVORITE EVENT: Our 50th wedding anniversary.

FAVORITE TRIP: To London, Paris, Canadian Maritime Provinces, and the State of Maine to celebrate this momentous occasion!!!


NEW FAVORITE SNACK: Macaroons from Laduree in Paris!



FAVORITE HOME IMPROVEMENT: The painting of the kitchen cupboards.



FAVORITE HOUSEHOLD CHORE: Doing the laundry.



FAVORITE INHERITED ANTIQUE: My Great-grandmother's Pickard punch bowl.



FAVORITE YARD SALE FIND: An old compartmented little cupboard - $15!



FAVORITE CONTINUING TREASURE HUNT: 19th century aesthetic brown transferware.



FAVORITE MIRACLE: Our daughter's continuing two-year recovery from the worst kind of brain cancer!!!!



FAVORITE QUALITY-TIME MOMENTS: In my kitchen with grandchildren, Caitlin and Wyatt.





FAVORITE VIEW: Colorado's Rocky Mountains anytime but especially in the Fall.



FAVORITE TABLESCAPE TUESDAY: My Great-grandmother's and my mother's rose-covered dishes.



FAVORITE BLUE MONDAY POST: The coast of Maine.



FAVORITE CHRISTMAS DECORATION: Our tree filled with 50 years of memories.

Oh Sally but each one is so special...of course I adore your kitchen. I keep thinking about having the cabinets painted eventually. I LOVE the look.
But your daughter's continued recovery is just so glorious, so amazing. Bless her and here's to her complete bill of great health!!

I think your 5oth trip was so perfect and I loved sharing all your remembrances with you hrough your blog.

it's so nice to find a blog by one of us "oldsters" as so many of them are by bloggers young enough to be my kids ( don't get me wrong--i love them all but sometimes feel so old... anyway, my husband and i will be celebrating our 43 this year so congratulations to you on your 50. i lived in me. for 24 yrs. so enjoyed the pics. god's blessings on your daughters continued recovery. tina s.
