IS THIS A TREASURE OR NOT?

Here is one of the things I bought from the endless estate sale. It is a huge pot measuring 12" wide by 10" high. It has the feel and look of art pottery from the 1920s and 1930s.

It has pretty molded leaves on all sides. There are no maker marks on the bottom.

What do you think? Do any of you have any idea of its age or maker?

I figured that for $5; at the very least, it would look pretty with a poinsettia in it for Christmas!

Hi Sally...

Ohhh yes...this is a really nice treasure find, my friend! I certainly would have picked it up for just $5! The finish of it reminds me a bit of Roseville pottery but I think they always mark their stuff! I love it!

Wow...I woke up cold this morning! Can you believe that? I checked the temperature at llam and it was only 66! Brrr!!! Hehe! It felt great and I loved being able to open the windows and doors today! Maybe autumn is on its way! I hope that my note is finding you well, dear friend! Take care! Love seeing your treasure/estate finds!

Love ya,
Chari

Thanks also for your input on the bdrm. fabric. I love them all, just trying to find the right mix. Hugs, Marty

It is a beautiful color, Sally. I have no ideas at all about it's maker...wouldn't care, tho...it WILL look fabulous with ANY flowers in it.

Hi Sally....what a great looking vase...so Art Deco...and I love the color. Hope your having a restful relaxing holiday weekend. The weather here in georgia has finally broke...I was able to shut down the air last night and turn on the whole house fan...so we have lovely fresh air coming in...
I keep tellling myself that fall we be here at any time now...Don't work too hard at the estate sale but keep bringing home the goodies!

Beautiful piece of pottery Sally. I don't know anything about the maker, but it definitely has the look of the Art Deco era.
