Last weekend we went to a great estate sale -- that is, the antiques were great; just not the prices.  The stuff was all probably worth the asking price, but were not in our range at all.
The only thing I bought was this little 5" silver vase.  I found it out in one of the sheds with junk -- that is probably why it was marked $4.  I wanted to pay $2, but prices were firm!
I love the Greek key design and the 'loving cup' handles; and thought it will be handy to use for little bunches of posies from the garden this summer.
Our rose bushes are covered with buds and just beginning to bloom; which is about a month early for our region of the country.
Cold weather is in the forecast for tomorrow -- hope they don't get frostbitten!

Check out the following blog parties this week for lots of summer inspiration.
Southern Hospitality for Thrifty Treasures Monday
Coastal Charm for Nifty Thrifty Tuesday
A Stroll Thru Life for Table Top Tuesday
From My Front Porch to Yours for Treasure Hunt Thursday
White Ironstone Cottage for Treasure Chest Friday

Oh I love your little pitcher, the style is stunning. Great detail in the greek key and the swirly handles. Perfect with your roses and your lovely vignette. I think it was a super find for $4. Thanks tons for linking to TTT. Hugs, Marty

Hi Sally! Oh, that's a pretty silver vase! I know what you mean about prices at garage sales - everything seems to cost more.
Love your beautiful flowers too!
Have a wonderful Sunday and you are a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Pretty little pitcher Sally- just perfect for roses!!

I am so surprised with all the plants in bloom already! Not at all ready with my garden. Bill went out and spaded up 1/2 of it as I need to get my plants in that I have in my little greenhouse.

I am leaving for a week on Mother's day to help a friend in NM with a wedding. I get back on Sunday then a blogging friend and hubby will be coming for 3 days the next day. I am not at all sure that I will have everything ready for company when I leave!

We also have another blogging friend who is moving to Co Springs here with her hubby this Wednesday night- better get a move on!

It is beautiful and I would have paid four at an estate sale. They are always a little high.

That is so pretty with flowers in it! I love this vignette with it on top of your books. I think it will display your flowers beautifully for every season.
