When it gets over 80 degrees on a daily basis, I go into hibernation.
Spending most of my time in the house -- reading or just putzing around!
I'm just not fond of being hot and invaded by bugs.
I even try to avoid going out to shop or junk hunt!
I did step outside this morning to take these pictures of the cottage garden at the front of our house.
I'm back inside now -- please let me know when it is September!
Thankfully, our flower and vegetable gardens are lovingly cared for by my husband.

wow- Your flowers and gardens are beautiful. Lucky you to have a hubby that takes care of them. Is he looking for a second job? I could use a little help here- xo Diana
Good Evening Sally, You might be hot and bothered, but your garden looks so lovely. The geraniums are loving your hot weather as they look so vibrant.
Fingers crossed your weather cools down soon. We are in the middle of a heatwave in England, but I must not complain as the summer was so late in arriving this year, we began to wonder if it would ever arrive.
Best Wishes
Daphne
You have some beautiful impatiens and a lot of other great looking flowers! I go out early in the morning to do most of my gardening, and then I seem to get nothing else accomplished, even though there is PLENTY to do inside. This past week was cooler and I still didn't catch up! Sometimes around here September is as hot as August. So I think I'll look forward to October!♥♫
Beautiful colors in your garden; you have an eye for flowers in the pathway; so pretty. Me, too, I'm already tired of the heat and will not venture out unless necessary.
Your hubby is doing a fabulous job, your garden is amazing! I love my a/c, and spend lots of time inside, too.
Hugs,
Patti
LOL Sally, you made me smile. I am a lover of heat. Well, not scorching heat, but I can take the heat a lot more than the cold. I do like to get out and garden early or later in the evening. Your cottage garden is just gorgeous!
hugs,
Jann
p.s. Not fond of bugs either and mosquitos eat me alive.
I hate the heat and I'm counting down the days until it's cooler. But your garden looks amazing! Everything is just beautiful. Have a great week.
I'm with you. Last week was the worst! Can't wait 'til Fall!
If you lived in Texas, you would be hibernated all summer. Regardless, your flowers are very pretty.
We are having an unusually moderate summer. Thanks to your husband for the beautiful flowers!

I'm with you.......hibernate until October, then I am in my glory!!!
We are on the same page about hot weather! :) Your flowers are lovely!!
Hi Sally!
Your flowers look wonderful. I love your yard! Our weather here in the Midwest has been so odd this year. Our flowers are completely confused I think but the trees and grasses got enough rain early on that they still look good.
We had two or three weeks of 80-90 degree weather but a chill blew into town over the weekend and now it is feeling more like September!
Hoping some of that made it out your way too.

We have had an unusual cool August and I have been craving the sun. I would even put up with the heat.
Your garden looks lovely.
